Hear from Nick about his journey to joining IKON Training…
“I joined IKON Training at an exciting time when online learning had two years of real innovation and development during the global pandemic. It is a great privilege to work with a visionary company that wants to ensure its training and resources are the best across both remote online and face-to-face delivery methods. I spent the first 20 years or so of my life wearing different uniforms, serving in the Royal Air Force and then the Police.
My later years in the Police were spent training new and existing officers, and it was here that I gained a love for immersive and engaging training delivery. After leaving the Police, I became a Learning Designer at the University of Suffolk. I worked with academic staff to ensure that teaching across all courses was of the highest standard, especially when the Coronavirus pandemic forced all learning online.
I enjoy spending time with my family, my wife Charlie, and kids Rose and Rupert outside of work. I am a film buff and avid gamer and do various audio-visual projects in my own time. I am a published Historian, regularly giving talks on my academic research speciality, “The Battle of Barking Creek of 1939”, which the RAF Museum awarded me a prize for in 2020”
