In November 2019, IKON delivered Managing Challenging Behaviour Training for Suffolk One, a purpose-built, outstanding-rated 6th Form college in Ipswich with more than 2500 students.
‘Suffolk One contacted us because they felt they needed some additional skills and more consistency in the way they approached managing challenging behaviour from students,’ explained Jason Keeley, IKON’s Managing Director.
‘The delegates were thoroughly engaged with the training and extremely interactive, readily sharing examples. They were all active participants in discussions throughout the day.’
Suffolk One staff were enthusiastic participants in the physical skills elements of the course and were keen to practice the techniques they’d learned.
‘We were impressed with their attitude,’ says Jason Keeley, ‘they asked excellent and relevant questions and took on board the course recommendations.’
IKON trained 17 Suffolk One staff, all of whom gave feedback indicating that they were ‘very satisfied’ and would and would recommend the course to their colleagues.
Written feedback from delegates included the comment: ‘Thank you. Best training we’ve had delivered.’
Suffolk One has already commissioned a follow-up series of training sessions from IKON in 2020.
