We’re hiring – Operations Coordinator

Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Salary: £30,000–£33,000 per annum + benefits

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent.

Are you who we are looking for?

We’re looking for a confident, organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our team in Ipswich.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our training operations running smoothly, bringing together clients, trainers and resources to ensure courses are scheduled efficiently and delivered successfully.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and making things happen. You’ll need to think ahead, manage competing priorities and take ownership of getting things done.

What you’ll be doing:

As Operations Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate training schedules, bookings and trainer availability.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, trainers and internal teams.
  • Proactively secure training dates and make effective use of resources.
  • Organise course arrangements, including venues, travel and accommodation.
  • Anticipate scheduling challenges and resolve last-minute changes.
  • Manage learner communications, records and certification.
  • Maintain accurate information and support efficient operational processes.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, communicates confidently and takes pride in keeping things organised.

You’ll be proactive, resourceful and comfortable managing expectations, with the confidence to make decisions and find practical solutions.

Key skills include:

  • Experience in scheduling, coordination or operational delivery.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Confidence using digital systems and managing processes.

Experience in the training industry would be useful, but it’s not essential. We’re more interested in your attitude, judgement and ability to get things done.

What you’ll get in return:

  • A salary of £30,000–£33,000 per annum.
  • 23 days’ annual leave, plus a Christmas shutdown.
  • Flexible working hours, with availability required by 8.30am.
  • Opportunity for hybrid/flexible working following probation.
  • A supportive, collaborative team where your contribution genuinely matters.

At IKON, our people are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll join a close-knit team helping organisations across the UK create safer, more confident workplaces.

If you enjoy taking ownership, working with people and making a real difference behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.
