As part of our ongoing mission to redefine training through innovation, IKON Training recently welcomed Revolve Labs to our offices for another step in developing our Extended Reality (XR) training modules. Building on the progress made at West Suffolk College’s XR Lab, this stage focused on capturing green screen recordings, a crucial component in crafting immersive and interactive VR-based Conflict Resolution Training (CRT) scenarios. By recording tailored scenarios in a green screen environment, we can layer these into customisable and interactive XR modules, ensuring that training is as realistic and engaging as possible.
Green screen technology has become vital in creating adaptable, high-impact XR training scenarios. By combining live-action recordings with virtual environments, we’re able to:
James Crown, IKON Training’s Training Director, recorded Subject Matter Expertise (SME) guides and feedback sessions during this session. These recordings will play a central role in the VR CRT scenarios, providing learners with expert insights as they navigate complex decision-making paths.
While effective, traditional training methods often struggle to replicate the high-pressure environments learners face in real life. This is where XR training offers a game-changing solution.
With XR, learners can:
Our latest video highlights that these immersive modules bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring learners leave with actionable skills and greater confidence.
One of the standout features of our XR training modules is the incorporation of branching scenarios. These decision-based simulations allow learners to:
This innovative approach empowers individuals to practice responding to challenging situations in a safe environment, helping them build resilience and prepare for the unpredictability of real-world interactions.
Our collaboration with Revolve Labs continues to push the boundaries of professional development.
These new modules will soon be integrated into our broader training programmes, making them accessible to healthcare, social care, retail, and education professionals.
This partnership is more than just a project; it’s about shaping the future of training by combining cutting-edge technology with practical expertise. Stay tuned as we explore new ways to empower learners and create safer, more resilient workplaces.
