PMVA (Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression) Training is aimed at all staff where a higher level of risk occurs, and it is safer for the individual to be held or moved to a position of safety.

Restrictive Physical Intervention.

  • Demonstrate standing, supine and seated interventions.
  • Use restraint/escorting techniques to relocate individuals.

Part 8:

Medical Implications of Techniques.

  • Identifying risks associated with restrictive interventions.
  • Recognise the medical implications of these techniques, including positional asphyxia.
  • Use restraint/escorting techniques to relocate individuals.

Part 9:

By the end of this course your team will be able to:

  • Recognise and respond to incidents.

  • Safely escape aggressive situation.
  • Hold and relocate using accredited techniques.
