NHS Security Teams Training Course
Course outline
This course is designed for healthcare security and response teams involved in the proactive management of violence and aggression.
The course will examine how to respond, communicate, and defuse safely, effectively and lawfully to situations. Practical skills that may be used as a last resort to prevent individuals from harming themselves or others will be explored on day whilst also understanding the medical and legal implications of using physical techniques.
Suggested attendees
All frontline NHS staff whose role requires them to proactively attend aggressive incidents. Under legislation it is an employer’s responsibility to ensure that individuals and roles are risk-assessed in relation to violence and aggression.
