Louise Ballard, our Co-founder and Operation Director.
Over the last 17 years, a lot has changed at IKON, but Louise’s passion for helping others feel safe and confident at work remains. Hear from Louise below how she started the company with Director and Co-founder Jason Keeley below.
“My career began in a marketing department for a communications company in Chelsea; young and full of enthusiasm.
After meeting my husband Jason and moving back to our home town, we put our careers together and started IKON from our kitchen table, when working from home wasn’t hybrid working, but what needed to be done when starting a new business.
We were entering a sector that I felt we could bring a fresh approach to, It was vital that we were authentic and communicated how IKON would deliver Conflict training in a newer way.
I believe we are still the fresh approach in our sector seventeen years later. I head up business operations, always keen to develop new ways to improve and ensure we keep our people in front of what we do. We are a communications company that doesn’t work on brands and new product launches like I did 25 years ago but a communications company that empowers people with the confidence to feel safe within the workplace.
A strong motivator for me in running our own business was the desire to have the flexibility to raise our three daughters. The juggle of family life, as a working mum, is challenging, but with a great team around me, I have been fortunate that it’s been possible.”
