IKON Training turns 18

IKON Training has come of age! This month we celebrate our 18th birthday.

It’s been a while for most of us since our last 18th birthday celebration and buying that first legal drink, but we are just as excited!

IKON Training is, in essence, a family business. An idea that started as a conversation between husband and wife at a kitchen table has flourished and matured into one of the country’s leading independent conflict resolution training providers.

It took five years of Louise at the helm before Jason retired from the Suffolk Police and joined the business full time.

We now have a close-knit team of six in-house trainers and a fantastic support team. Our company culture remains that of a family business. We have just expanded our family.

No business journey is easy, and the past 18 years have certainly had their challenges. With only 25% of businesses making it past 15 years, the global pandemic arrived at a crucial time for us. We are very proud of our team’s response to the “brave new world” trust upon us and how we quickly adapted and evolved our offer. Hello IKON Live!

We now offer remote training or in-person training. Both offers are interactive, personal and engaging – true to the IKON way. We have worked throughout the pandemic, safely and appropriately, to ensure our clients have met their statutory requirements and their staff have felt confident and safe at work.

While 18 may just be a number, to us, it’s a fantastic number! We are so proud of our team, achievements, clients and partners.

As an exercise down memory lane, we thought we would look at some other numbers to help show what an exciting 18 years it has been.

At IKON, we train and support teams in nine sectors:

Education, retail, leisure, private health, NHS, social care, local authority, housing, and transport. Every client is valued – and we would like to take this birthday opportunity to thank you. It is a privilege to be the training provider for our clients. It wasn’t until we looked at these numbers per sector we realised just what a busy and diverse 18 years it has been!
